What is a .MDP file?
The most common data format on the web.
An MDP file is a legacy Microsoft Visual C++ project workspace from the mid-1990s Developer Studio IDE. It lists the project's source files and build settings but does not contain any actual code. Modern Visual Studio cannot open it directly. You need to recreate the project and add your existing source files. Note that .mdp is also the MediBang Paint image format, which is a completely separate file type.
