What is a .XMIND file?
Ideas as a tree - saved in a handful of formats.
An XMIND file is a mind map document created by the XMind app, storing topics, branches, notes, and attachments inside a ZIP package. Open it with the free XMind app on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, or iOS, or upload it to an online viewer. To share the map with someone who lacks XMind, export it to PDF or PNG from inside the app.

Frequently asked questions
Is my .XMIND file uploaded?
No. Your .XMIND file is read and drawn for you.
Can I edit the map?
This is a viewer: you can fold and unfold branches, search and export, but not change topics. Export to OPML and import it into your favourite mind-mapping app to keep working.
Why does my XMind file show a warning topic?
New XMind versions also write an old-style content.xml that only says “created with a newer XMind”. The viewer reads the modern content.json first, so you should see the real map - if not, the file may be damaged.
Does it show notes and links?
Yes. Topics with a note get a small note icon; hover or open the outline to read it. Links are clickable in the outline.
What about MindManager .mmap files?
Topic text and structure are shown (beta). Images, attachments, styles and relationships aren't displayed yet.
