What is a .UNL file?
The most common data format on the web.
A UNL file is a Garmin map unlock code file created by the discontinued MapSource software. It stores the license code authorizing a paid map for one specific Garmin GPS device. To use it, place the file in the /Garmin folder on your device or SD card. The code works only on the device it was purchased for and cannot be moved to another unit.
