What is a .PML file?
The most common data format on the web.
A PML file is either a PADGen program-info XML file (describing a software title for download-directory listings) or a Sysinternals Process Monitor binary log. Open it in a text editor first: readable XML means PADGen; binary gibberish means Process Monitor. Any XML editor handles the PADGen type; Process Monitor handles the binary type.
