What is a .MXL file?
The most common data format on the web.
An MXL file is a compressed MusicXML score, sheet music packaged as a ZIP archive. It is not an audio file; it contains notes and layout, not a recording. Open it in MuseScore (free) or another notation app to view, play back, or print the score.
