What is a .INP file?
The most common data format on the web.
An INP file is an Abaqus input deck, a plain-text file that defines a finite-element model (mesh, materials, loads, boundary conditions, analysis steps) for the Abaqus solver. Open it in any text editor to read or edit it, or import it into Abaqus/CAE to work with it graphically. It is not a document or image; results come out as an .odb database after you run the solver.
