What is a .AUP file?
The most common data format on the web.
An AUP file is a legacy Audacity project file - an XML manifest that records your tracks and edits but stores almost no audio itself. The actual sound lives in a separate folder named _data next to the .aup. To open it, use Audacity (free). To get an MP3 or WAV, open the project in Audacity and use File > Export.
